I haven’t been able to get involved with Guisra so much over the last month due to a back injury. I’m on the mend now, but this newsletter will be short this month.
I know the appetite for something different is out there. I speak to people while round and about in Guisborough. People might want different things, but there is a consensus that the democratic system we have now cannot by its very nature deliver. Personally I worry that if we as town folks do not fight for this town, nobody else will. Councillors might try, but without the force of the town they’ll get very little. And when we even do a little we see change. I can already see we have raised the idea that we don’t accept the status quo any longer.
Anyway that’s all I’ll say this month, except to hope we see lots at Monday’s art centre workshop. If you want to discuss anything else from a Guisra point of view then turn up and we’ll find a corner for a chat.
All the best,
Michael Dakin
