Proposal for traffic calming measures on The Avenue, especially the section between Hutton Lane corner and where it crosses the beck ie the narrowest bit. The path is narrow, and often cyclists are on the footpath, as they are often forced onto the path fearing for their safety on the road. Although after a recent accident we may fear for our lives on the footpath too. Traffic calming in the form of speed bumps or chicanes, or even widening the footpath via a compulsory purchase order of land from the gardens adjacent to The Avenue. (I am one of those residents and value safety over an extra metre or so of garden) would be ideal, although I may be in the minority
